GPS tracking

GPS tracking

GPS is one of the most useful technology like a life changer in modern civilization. We are all more or less familiar with GPS. Imagine, You have lost an unknown place. You don’t know about this place and how to go home! You didn’t find trusted anyone for ask or help. So what will you do? In this situation,GPS tracking will be most helpful for you. You can able to tracking your current location and you can searching and easily find your way to go home!

Let’s discuss about the more details of GPS tracking.

What is GPS tracking? And its history:

GPS is the short form of “Global Positioning System”.It is a particular type of technology which can find easily searching and find your own location even any place by the navigation unit of The mobile phone, tablet, laptop, etc.

Ministry of Defense of the United States was led to the rise of GPS such as Internet.Delving into history, as far as is known that the US military were used of GPS technology for their own needed in 1977.Although at first it was used only for military work. But, later it was opened for the public’s use. In 1995 GPS was declared to open all the people. And made accessible for all over the world.

But, on that time technology was not advance like now. So,the program had still some limitations. In 2000 the technology was starting to get people demand.Since this time, the GPS tracking was starting essentially using the public in fully start.

GPS is mainly controlled by 27 satellites and through the GPS receiver. In which the 24 satellites are active and 3 are reserve. They are main part of GPS.The GPS is a network of about 30 satellites orbiting the Earth at an altitude of 20,000 km. There are 24 satellites on 6 orbit above the surface of 20000 km. GPS satellites circle the Earth twice a day in a precise orbit.

The orbit specially have been arranged so that at least three or four satellites can visible at any time, from anywhere in the world. The satellites are constantly transmitting two types of signals.Which are L1 and L2. This signals are transmitting in 300000 km er second speed such as light’s speed. And each of the signals has written it’s Sending time.

These signals are received and processed by performing of the GPS receiver. The GPS receiver get Run time by subtracting between Sending time and receiving time.It may found the distance from the receiver to satellites, by multiplied run time with 300000.To calculate your 2-D position and track movement, a GPS receiver must be locked on to the signal of at least 3 satellites. With 4 or more satellites in view, the receiver can determine your position by 3-D calculation.

Think that, your mobile or P, C is fitted with a GPS receiver. The receiver will try to establish a relationship with satellites as possible your needs. Each satellites has fitted with a atomic clock.Pseudo-random code which sent from the satellite to the receiver’s clock may synchronize for the up-to-date it’s clock. Actually it makes both the satellite and the receiver clock is in the current time. When the GPS unit can established relation with at least 3 satellites,it may able to tracking your location.

Roads, petrol stations, police stations, hotels and restaurants, tourist places, department stores, etc. Information are kept in GPS maps or software. When the GPS is on, it is something referred to around the current position of the display shows on the GPS device. And it constantly receiving signals.

GPS also used in car, ships, plans, to control traffic jam in big cities, to keep in eyes in special place on battlefield.Sometimes the police or intelligence used GPS system to easily keep an eye on the defendant or the victim, and to be aware of their movements.
